Dogology Dogs
Terms and Conditions
Field Hire Private Use Terms & Conditions:
Dogology Dog Training Centre Schedule:
- The Dogology Dog Training Centre is split into two areas: The secure field (which you are booking) and the Training Area. You must not access the Training Area without prior permission from Dogology Dogs.
- Please be aware the Training Area has classes running on Saturdays. Occasionally head Trainer Jo will also train clients on a 121 basis in the Training Area (usually Monday/Wednesday/Friday AM). The areas are split by two fences, a 5 foot gap, and the view is blocked on the nearest side of the Training Area with a solid material. However, if you feel your dog will be distressed by being able to see other dogs at a distance please whatsapp Jo on 07817422498 to discuss.
Access and Security:
- The field hire is for 50 minutes, with a maximum of three dogs per booking. If you have more than three dogs please contact us to discuss. The standard booking fee is £10 (or £9 if booking in bulk), payable in advance through our online booking system.
- There is a 10 minute change over time between bookings.
- There are three gates to go through to get into the secure field. A gate from the main road, a gate into the Dogology Dog Training Centre and a gate into the field.
- The gate off the main road has a chain and padlock. The code will be sent to you with your booking confirmation. This gate MUST be closed and locked behind you both when you arrive and leave.
- The gate to the whole Dogology Dog Training Centre is gated with another chain and padlock. This gate may be left unlocked during your visit but MUST BE LOCKED when you leave.
- The final gate is a pedestrian only gate into the field, which is locked with another padlock. Again, this MUST BE LOCKED when you leave.
- THE THREE CODES REQUIRED FOR LOCKS WILL BE SENT WITH YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL. Please note, they are changed weekly.
- Once you are inside the field you can close two latches to shut yourself into the field. If you want to, you can use the padlock to lock the gate securely whilst you are in the field.
- IT IS VITAL YOU CLOSE ALL GATES AND LOCK ALL LOCKS BEFORE YOU LEAVE.
Arrival and Parking:
- Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your session, if you arrive and see a car in the car park or somebody in the field please leave your dog in the car until the field is clear. This is essential as the dog in the field might need space from people or dogs. If there is somebody in the field and you have a booking please call Jo on 07817422948 to resolve.
- The drive alongside the field is hard standing, then there is an area for parking at the end near the stables. Please do not drive or park on the grass unless you have permission.
- Do not allow your dog off lead until they are in the field as the perimeter of the Dogology Dog Training Centre site is not fully fenced.
Equipment
- Any equipment in the field has been left for dogs to use. Please respect the equipment and report any damages.
- The sand filled tyres are there for dogs to explore and dig.
- The stack of branches is there for dogs to explore and sniff (and to act as a hiding place for small wildlife!). Please do not allow dogs to climb the stack of branches.
Cleanliness:
- Please clean up after your dogs and dispose of the waste in the bins provided. Dog waste must be bagged before being put into the bin. Please let Dogology Dogs know if you find rogue poops! Failing to pick up after your dogs could result in you being banned from using the facilities.
- Other than dog waste bins, the site has no other waste bins so please take any rubbish away with you.
Health and Safety:
- The site is checked daily, but please report any issues with fencing or access immediately to Jo on 07817422948.
- Dogs must be vaccinated and be fit and well to use these facilities. Please do not bring any dog which has had sickness or diarrhea within 48 hours of the booking. If your dog has had Kennel Cough, as per Kennel Club advice, they must not attend for 21 days after their last coughing episode. Rescue dogs must have been in the country for 28 days and be clear of any contagious diseases.
- Please respect the privacy and safety of other users and do not approach or interact with them unless invited to do so.
- You are responsible for the supervision and control of your dogs at all times. The field is fenced with 5′ 3 dog fencing (the gates are slightly lower), a baseline strainer and where needed is pegged down. However it isn’t a prison and we cannot guarantee against escape artists!
- Do not leave your dog unattended in the field.
- Do not tether your dog to the fence or gates.
- The field used to be a horse paddock, so the ground is not completely flat or even. Please be aware of the potential hazards and risks of your dogs running on uneven ground. You agree to use the paddock at your own risk and waive any claims against us for any injuries or damages caused by the ground condition.
- There is a large oak tree which overhangs the edge of the field. This provides lovely shade but there is a risk of dropped branches, especially in high wind. Please note that we are not liable for any injuries or damages caused by the oak tree or any other natural elements on our premises. You are using our facilities at your own risk and responsibility.
Additional Dogs:
- The field is for the use of the person who made the booking and their dogs. However you may book the field with a friend to walk your dogs together. If together you have more than three dogs, please contact us to discuss.
- You may not transfer or sub-let this consent to any other person, without prior consent from Dogology Dogs. If you are a dog walker with more than three dogs you MUST contact Dogology Dogs to discuss as the booking price will be higher.
Liability:
- You are liable for any damage or injury caused by your dogs to the paddock, its facilities, or other users. Please report any incidents or issues to us as soon as possible. We reserve the right to terminate your booking and ask you to leave the field if we deem your dogs to be a risk or a nuisance to others.
- Dogology Dogs are not responsible and will not accept liability for any loss, damage, injury or death howsoever and by whomsoever caused, whether to property or person(s) sustained by any person in the Dogology Dog Training Centre.
- You are responsible for all safety aspects of your dog prior to, during or subsequent to using the field and must accept liability for any loss, damage, injury or death howsoever and by whomsoever caused, whether to property or person(s) sustained by any person(s) in the Dogology Dogs Training Centre.
Noise:
- Dogs bark, but please try to limit barking to ensure it does not become a nuisance.
General Information:
- Digging is allowed in the sand filled tyres only. Please do not allow them to dig any of the grass. If they do attempt to dig the grass stop them immediately as holes caused by your dog could pose a risk to other users. If your dog digs the grass please attempt to fill the hole. If your dog causes significant damage, please inform Dogology Dogs immediately to enable repair.
- The Dogology Dog Training Centre is a strictly no smoking site.
- There is no water available on site as due to hygiene reasons we do not want to encourage bowl sharing.
